Life Story for AnnMarie Kelly (Curtis)

AnnMarie Kelly, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at Lower Cape Fear Hospice after a courageous battle. She was 68 years old.
AnnMarie was born on September 2, 1950 in New York, NY, daughter of the late George and Theresa (Martin) Curtis. She was a 1968 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
On July 22, 1972 she married the love of her life, Thomas Kelly, in NYC, NY. AnnMarie was a secretary with the Brewster Central School District for many years. Once she retired from the school district, she and Tom moved to Wilmington, NC to enjoy their retirement together. When she wasn’t reading or spending time with Tom, AnnMarie spent many hours donating her time to supporting Veteran charities and events.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by not only her loving husband, but also her two daughters; Jennifer Rhein and her husband Daniel of West Babylon, NY; Suzanne Short and her husband James of Valhalla, NY; her 5 grandchildren, Colin, Dylan, and Daniel Rhein and Aidan and Christian Short,; and her siblings, Kathy Glum, Susan Curtis-Miller and Thomas Curtis; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at 10:30am at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Visitation will be held on Monday July 1, 2019 from 7pm-9pm and Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 9-10:30am.
