Marion E. Hegarty, a 53-year resident of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at home on Thursday November 22, 2018. She was 76 years old.
Born on August 15, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late John and Delia (Quealy) Fitzgerald. Marion received her associated degree as a registered nurse and began her work in Yonkers. Following the death of her husband William in 1970, she worked at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, NY for over 40 years retiring.
The most important thing to Marion was her son, she strived to give him the best life possible.
Marion is survived by her son; William ‘Bill’ Hegarty and his wife Suzanne of Brandon, VT. She will be greatly missed by many friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 11am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery. Beecher Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
