Obituary for H. Eloise Reinhardt (Ekstrom)

H. Eloise Reinhardt, a 55 year resident of Carmel, NY, died peacefully at Putnam Hospital Center on July 27, 2018. She was 89 years old.
Born on June 26, 1929 in Brewster, NY, Eloise was the daughter of the late Carl O. and Edna (O’Hara) Ekstrom. She graduated from Brewster High School in 1948.
On March 28, 1953 Eloise married the love of her life Joseph A. Reinhardt at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY.
Through the years, Eloise was a homemaker. Following high school, however, she had worked for the Packard Car Garage and Brady-Stannard in Brewster.
Eloise was an avid bowler and back in the day, a flutest with the Brewster Fire Department Fife and Drum Corp. She enjoyed boating with her family on Candlewood Lake and riding ATV’s in Mass. Above all, Eloise took great pride in her family and her grandchildren were the simply the apple of her eye.
Besides her husband Joseph of 65 years, Eloise is survived by her three sons, Jay (Rose) Reinhardt of Mahopac, NY, Joel (Lisa) Reinhardt of Mt. Kisco, NY and Jamie (Susan) Reinhardt of Savoy, MA, her sister, Carol Macomber of Brewster, NY, her six grandchildren, Kristin, Matthew, Christopher, Jordan, Javen and Robbie and one great grandson, Matthew James. Also several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 10am at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 31st from 4pm-7pm.
