Life Story for Patricia E. Doyle

Patricia E. Doyle, a lifelong resident of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at Putnam Hospital Center on July 11, 2018. She was 93 years old.
Born on November 19, 1924 in Brewster, NY daughter of the late Carl and Edna (O’Hara) Ekstrom. She graduated from Brewster High School in 1942.
On October 26, 1952 Patricia married the love of her life Charles K. Doyle at St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls, NY. Charles predeceased his wife on October 26, 1972 after a tragic accident.
Patricia was a bookkeeper for Bruen Deldin and DiDio Insurance Inc. in Brewster, NY for over 20 years before retiring. Prior to working for BDD Insurance she worked for Sarah E. Dickinson. Mrs. Doyle was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Brewster. Bowling was her greatest passion in life, she was the first president of the woman’s bowling league in Brewster and continued to bowl until she was 89 years old. She was also a member of the Brewster Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary.
Patricia is survived by her only son Dr. Daniel Doyle and his wife Karen of Carmel, NY, her 4 grandsons; Patrick C. Doyle and his wife Jennifer Dorris, Dr. Dennis C. Doyle and his wife Dr. Romina T. Doyle, Dr. Ryan D. Doyle and his wife Dr. Meredith Carbone Doyle, Matthew B. Doyle and his fiancé Melissa Pfiefer and her 4 grandchildren; Nolan, Giacomo, Sadie and Cameron and her siblings; Carol Macomber and Eloise Reinhardt. She was predeceased by her 3 sisters Gloria Ekstrom, Joyce Ekstrom and Jean Saunders.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 10am at the Patterson Community Church, Rt 311 Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Church in Somers, NY. Visitation will be held on Friday July 13 from 4pm-7pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Patricia may be made to the Haitian Health Foundation in Norwich, CT.
