Life Story for Eleanor T. Keefe

Eleanor T. Keefe, 87, a resident of Brewster NY for over 60 years passed away peacefully at her home on July 10, 2018. Eleanor was born on October 2, 1930 in Yonkers to James and Eleanor Foley. She attended Blessed Sacrament Academy and was a graduate of Good Counsel College. She married her beloved husband William F. Keefe on Sept. 3, 1955 and worked as a teacher for many years at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic School in Brewster.
As an active community member Eleanor was president of the St. Lawrence O’Toole Mother’s Guild and an active member of the Brewster-Carmel Garden Club, Landmark Preservation Society, Southeast Museum and Friends of the Brewster Public Library.
Eleanor is survived by her children Susan Kealy (John) of Vacaville CA, Nancy Keefe of Amherst MA, Laura Oller (John) of Carmel NY, Donna Napolitano (Richard) of Stafford Springs CT and William Keefe Jr. (Claire) of Brewster NY. Additionally she is survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Predeceased are her husband William and brothers James, Edward, William and Joseph.
Friends and family may gather on Friday July 13, 2018 from 4PM to 8PM at Beecher Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. of Lawrence O’Toole in Brewster at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 14th followed by internment at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery.
