Life Story for Sarah C. "Sally" Morin


Sarah C. Morin, of North Salem, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday May 15, 2018. She was 91 years old.
Born on January 21, 1927 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Edwin J. and Jane (Fell) Conroy. She graduated from St. Barnabas High School and continued her education at Berkley Secretary School.
On September 10, 1955 she married the love of her life William J. Morin at St. Mary’s Church in Mt. Vernon, NY. Bill predeceased his wife on October 6, 2001.
Sarah and her husband enjoyed their summer home on Peach lake until 1986 when is became their permanent residency. She was a secretary with the White Plains County Court for about 15 years and a secretary for her father who was a lawyer. Sarah was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, an avid reader, a member of the North Salem library and a member of the St. Joseph’s senior and North Salem seniors.
Sarah is survived by her only child; William ‘Billy’ Morin of North Salem, NY, her siblings; Thomas P. Conroy and Mary Ann Barbieri. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Weber.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Church, Somers, NY. Interment will follow at Peach Pond Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster on Monday May 21, 2018 from 4pm-8pm.
